Refund policy

Returns

We accept return requests within 48 hours of delivery. To start a return, email us at nandini@themugtheory.com with your order number and photos of the item. Once your return is approved, we'll share the return address and instructions. Items sent back without an approved return request will not be accepted.

 

Handmade variation

Every piece is handmade by artisans in small batches. Minor variations in glaze, colour, texture, and shape are part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.

 

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours at nandini@themugtheory.com with photos of the item and packaging, and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

 

Exceptions and non-returnable items

Candles and diyas that have been lit or used cannot be returned, for hygiene and safety reasons. Gift cards are non-returnable. To be eligible for any other return, items must be unused and in their original packaging.

 

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 7 to 10 business days. Please note it can take extra time for your bank to post the refund.

 

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled free of charge before they ship. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled and falls under the return policy above.
